We started out with artist presentations for the first couple of days. Artists were asked to present about themselves, their practice and what they would be working on during the Summer Institute. We were in the gallery for presentations which made for an open atmosphere. It was really nice to see everyone sharing their work and experiences. A lot of folks have practices that centre around family, culture, heritage, and the sites that embody these ideas. It's so exciting to see the artists talk about their work.
